1v1stream Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

1v1stream is a live head-to-head competition platform. You can reach us at admin@1v1stream.com.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and the display name you choose. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your Google account identifier, and basic profile information from Google. We do not receive your Google password, and we cannot access your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.

Activity information. Your entries into the performance queue, your votes, your chat messages, and the times at which these occurred.

Recordings of events. We may record broadcasts, typically by capturing the stage area of the screen during an event — the same footage a viewer would see of the performers, without the surrounding site. These recordings capture the performers' appearance, voice, and anything visible or audible around them. Chat is not included in what we record. We keep recordings we make, and we may edit, excerpt, and publish them as described in our Terms of Service — including on our own social media accounts and on third-party platforms. Recording is not automatic and does not happen for every broadcast.

Age confirmation. The date of birth you provide when completing your account, and a record of your agreement to our Terms of Service, including when you agreed and to which version.

Technical information. Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log IP addresses, browser and device information, and access times as part of delivering the service.

How we use it

To operate accounts and sign-in; to confirm you meet our age requirement; to run competitions, queueing, and voting; to display chat; to record, edit, publish, and promote content from the platform; to moderate the platform and enforce our terms; to communicate with you about your account; to diagnose technical problems; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.

Google user data specifically

Information received from Google is used solely to create and authenticate your 1v1stream account and to populate your initial display name. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to anyone other than the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf.

This is a public platform, and recordings are permanent

Your display name, your chat messages, and your live audio and video are visible to everyone watching. Recordings we make may be published indefinitely and may be seen by people far outside the original audience. Viewers may additionally record or capture what is broadcast using tools outside our control; we neither encourage nor prohibit this, and we have no way to retrieve or delete such copies. Do not go on camera expecting privacy, and do not go on camera expecting to be forgotten.

Service providers

We share information with providers who process it on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), LiveKit (live video transmission), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Google (sign-in). If we record and publish content, we may also use a third-party storage or hosting provider to hold recorded files before and during publishing. Each processes information only as needed to provide their service to us. Recordings we publish are additionally distributed by whichever platform we publish them on.

How long we keep things

Account information is kept while your account is active. Chat messages, votes, queue history, and age-confirmation records are retained as part of the platform's ongoing record. Recordings, if made, are retained indefinitely. Deleting your account removes your account record but does not delete recordings of broadcasts you have already made, and does not withdraw the licence you granted over them.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, or delete information we are not required to keep. You may delete your account at any time, subject to the limits above. To make a request, email admin@1v1stream.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We retain discretion to remove any recording from publication and will consider requests, but we are not obligated to do so.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since that is how account access is recovered.

You must be 18 or older

1v1stream is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly record or publish anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has appeared on the platform, we will terminate the associated account, remove any recording from publication, and delete it. To report an underage user, email admin@1v1stream.com — we treat these reports as urgent.

Where your information is held

We and our service providers are based in the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed there. If you access 1v1stream from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

If we are acquired

If 1v1stream, or substantially all of its assets, is acquired by or merged with another party, or if we are involved in a financing, insolvency, or similar transaction, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction, including during diligence.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email admin@1v1stream.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We will post changes on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will notify you by email before it takes effect.
